How often have you heard Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against me will prosper?” quoted by someone who is experiencing difficulty? I have many times; often in the context of a church service when the entire congregation would agree with this proclamation from the pulpit. But, has your life proven this statement to be true? If not, how do you reconcile the biblical truth with your experience? You must look at the context of the verse. Something must happen before the stage of your life arrives at the point where no weapon formed against you will prosper. You must first encounter the blacksmith and the engraver; you must come under the “weapon forged in fire”; you must go through the fire. I did not understand this until I experienced it. Yield to the fire then you will live this promise becomes a daily reality in your life.
