Ezekiel 18:20 verifies that generational sins cannot affect the next generation. Look at the verse, “The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.” This verse has nothing to do with generational sins. Rather, the Lord is saying here that the son shall not be held guilty for what the father does. That is true. However, the generational reality is that the consequences of what the father does can affect the sons and daughters and others down the generational line.
