Did You Take Off Your Armor?

For as long as I can remember, I was told to put on the armor of God daily; but that concept is not found in Ephesians 6:11–17.  The verses:  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil…. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God..

Notice the bold words are all verbs In the Greek they are constructed in the Aorist tense, which describes an action that is a complete event.  Therefore, once you put on the armor it remains on.  So, if you originally put it on and have not taken off, your armor is still on.  That said, now you can get upgrades in your armor so rejoice when that happens!
