Renunciation of Okinawan or Ryukyuan Religion

On behalf of myself and my generational line I repent for any ungodly beliefs regarding kami. I repent for the confusion that kamis or spirits dwell in all things animate or inanimate. I trust in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son who upholds all things by the word of His power[1] and fills all things.[2] I repent for trusting in ungodly kami to function as gods in my life rather than trusting in the one and true and living God, the great I AM.[3] I repent for any religious practice devised to either make kami less angry or to motivate them through prayers, worship, rituals, sacred persons, shrines, objects of sacred worship, altars, any places of worship, temples, homes, lands, sacred groves, and sacred springs. Lord Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, please break off any covenants or agreements between my family line or me with any ungodly kami. Remove all their ability to supervise, influence, bring ungodly information, or alter us.

Break off all connections and ungodly influence from all ranks of ungodly kami, all connections to the Heavenly Emperor and/or the sibling-kami: Shinerikyu and Amaikyu. Also, break off all connection to any location kami: of the well, pigpen, hearth, and paddy.

On behalf of myself and my generational line, I repent for the belief that ancestral spirits were our loved ones instead of familial spirits posing as family members.[4]  Break off any connection with ungodly kami posing as ancestral spirits. I repent for honoring these ungodly spirits by offering them a butsu dan or home shrine, the best rooms of the house, any objects of honor including memorial tablets, censers, incense, plants, flowers, artwork, food, rice, mochi, drink, wine, teacups, genealogies, family heirlooms, and treasured items. Cleanse these objects and our land from familiar spirits and ungodly kami. I repent and renounce any ungodly prayers, rituals, worship, or offerings for better education, prosperity, guidance, information, protection, and health to these familiar spirits.

Father, forgive us for believing that we need kami to sustain life, have the ability to cook take care of us, and for any fear of lack. Father, you do not let the righteous go hungry[5], and we are found righteous in Christ.[6] You bless our food and our water[7], You make our food holy by the word of God and prayer.[8]  Break off any connection, worship or prayer to Hinukan, Fii Nu Kang, Ryukyuan kang, or Hi Kami and their attachment to hearths, the three stones piled at the side of hearths, hearth ashes, cooking stoves, and food. Cleanse any area affected by ungodly hearth ashes. Break off any connection to higher kami through prayer to Fii Nu Kang, Hinukan, Ryukuyan kang, or Hi Kami.

Father, forgive us for trusting in kami to provide discernment rather than the Holy Spirit who is freely given to us by God, and who matures us through the Word of God to discern good from evil.[9]  Break off any ungodly connection, worship, prayer, or ritual offerings to all Fuuru nu kami, Akaname, pigs, pig pens, toilets, and waste.

Jesus, when we pass through the waters, You will be with us; and through You the rivers and waterways will not overwhelm us.[10]  We shall not thirst or be without water, for you are with us.[11] I repent for appeasement for protection, generational fear of water, worship, and prayer to the kamis of water, waterways, rivers, streams, springs, oceans, and wells. Break off any ungodly influence from Kawa-no kami, Kaa nu kami, Kappa, Suijin, Yokai, Miji Gami, Hachiman, and water spirits from ourselves, lands, wells, springs, waterways, and oceans.

Remove any ungodly influence or tainting from supernatural revelation through kami. Cleanse us from anything we received through visions, hearing, dreaming, or experiences through bodily possession through ungodly kami.

Remove any ungodly influence from mabui, a life-sustaining kami; kami who serves and who offer guidance; majimung or ghosts; and kijimunaa, a male spirit who lives in the Indian banyan reet; and akamataa, with its power to seduce women and give birth to snakes.
