Prayer of Repentance and Release for Those of Jewish Ancestry
Lord, on behalf of myself and my generational line back to before the beginning of time, I renounce and repent for the sins of the priesthood as represented in Malachi 2:1-9.
I repent for:
- Not listening as the priesthood and not taking to heart and giving honor to Your name
- Willingly bringing the curse upon ourselves and our children
- Not believing You and fearing Your name when You said you would curse our blessing; taking your words lightly
- Willingly taking on the rebuke of our offspring because we did not want what You wanted, choosing to what we thought was best
- Willingly receiving the curse of the Lord; living outside of the fear of the Lord
- Despising the covenant of life and peace, the covenant of Levi
- Refusing to fear Your name, and stand in awe of Your name
- Abandoning Your true instruction
- Speaking falsely
- Turning away from peace and uprightness, while turning toward iniquity; and turning others away as well
- All who didn’t guard knowledge about You, and led others into deception.
- Hiding Godly instruction
- Killing the messenger of the Lord of Hosts
- Turning aside from the righteous way and causing many to stumble through false instruction
- All corruption of the covenant of Levi
- Choosing to become despised and abased before all the people
- Not keeping Your ways and showing partiality in our instruction
Lord, in the name of Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach[1], I renounce all of that evil and ask that You remove and reverse the curse.
According to Your promises, I declare and decree on behalf of the descendants of Abraham, of whom I am one, that You will raise a signal to continue his righteous inheritance among the Jewish people. I ask You to set things right and to raise up the tribes of Jacob; bring them back, and make them a light for the nations that Your salvation may reach to the end of the earth.[2] Lord, please remove us from any ancient, ungodly dimensions.
I also renounce and repent for myself and all those in my family line who:
- For any reason, including persecution, rejected Your plan for their lives and chose to give into fear instead of trusting You
- Rejected You and Your covenant, not turning to You in times of suffering
- Did not choose to lay down our lives for You, but instead chose to hide ourselves and our identity in order to preserve our lives
- Chose to hide by becoming oppressors, inflicting the same oppression that we received on others
- Enslaving others, and hiding our identity in self-hatred; choosing a life of lies, oppression and hatred instead of You
- Knew You, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but because of fear for their lives, turned their backs on You and embraced false religions, false gods and false traditions
- Cursed You and blamed You for allowing our children to be kidnapped, proselytized and indoctrinated; causing their hearts to turn away from You into other religions
- Rejected their heritage and their identity within the tribes of Israel, and chose to allow fear, self-hatred, and loss of identity to be imprinted in the DNA
- Instead of looking for and to You, chose self-effort to bring about self-preservation.
Lord, I come to you in humility and ask for the return of my birthright; for the identity that You imprinted on our generational heart. I ask for the gifts, the callings, and the fearlessness we were meant to have; I ask You to disentangle fear from my identity, my DNA, RNA, cellular and molecular parts, and to imprint Your holy, rock-solid gift of faith in their place. I ask for restitution and healing for all those we have hurt through our fear; and for generational healing, not only for us but for all those whose identities we stole.
Thank you Jesus, for Your love toward me and my family line. I choose this day to honor You in Your redemptive plan for my family and my own children and their children’s children for thousands of generations so that we may take our place in history as the ones who followed You to the death, laying down our lives at all costs for the love of You, rejecting all else but You, and finding our lives and our identity only in You.
Lord, I confess the truth that if anyone is in Christ, that person is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come,[3] and I thank You.
[1] Yeshua Hamashiach means “Jesus the Messiah”. We feel it is important to acknowledge that Jesus is the Messiah.
