During Jesus‘ time on earth, He healed the sick, taught about the Word, cast out demons, etc. Then after His resurrection, He commanded His disciples (and us) to do the same. If every problem was solved by Christ‘s death on the cross, then Jesus would have simply told us to follow Him, died on the cross and then gone back to heaven. Instead, Jesus and the apostles demonstrated that we must work out our salvation (Phil. 2:12). Also, we understand from Ephesians 6 that we are still in a spiritual battle.
The big thing to remember is not only did Jesus pay the price so we can have eternal life through Him, He also provided a way for us to have access through Him to the authority that mankind lost back in the garden of Eden.
We’ve found time and time again that new levels of freedom and healing are released after a person follows God’s lead in dealing with generational issues.
