Purpose of Our Intern Program

While our Lord was with the disciples, we do not see large amounts of time spent in formal education. Rather, we see Jesus modeling what a relationship with God would look like. He walked with His disciples through life and as they walked together, the teachings took place.

It is the goal of the Intern Program that you will be able to walk with us and learn how to exercise the gift of discernment.

We believe that much can be CAUGHT rather than just being TAUGHT. Our focus is more on impartation than information. This is not to say that no learning will take place, but rather in modeling the gift of discernment and in answering questions much more can be learned than through imparting of information.

Facts About the Intern Program

DURATION: One week to several weeks

HOUSING ARRANGEMENT: Interns areresponsible for their own housing at this time. A list of nearby hotels/motels will be provided when application is approved.

TRAVEL: Interns travel with Paul wherever he travels to minister during the time you are interning at Aslan's Place. Interns are responsible for personal expenses while traveling.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Our interns participate in deliverance ministry sessions during the day. The intern will also have time for personal study in areas directed by Paul or Donna. Evenings are usually free for study and time with the Lord.

DONATION: We suggest that interns make a weekly contribution to Aslan's Place of $500. this will cover all material and teaching time with Paul Cox. Lodging will be at your expense at a hotel/motel nearby Aslan's Place until such time as the Lord provides dormitories for the Internship program.

Mission Statement

Aslan's Place Vision

The Lord's vision for Aslan's Place is to train committed believers in the use of their God given spiritual gifts (especially the gift of discernment) in prayer ministry so as to facilitate the freeing of individuals from generational bondage through the power of the cross of Jesus Christ.

Aslan's Place Mission Statement

The purpose of Aslan's Place is to "untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke." Isaiah 58:6

Luke 4:18-19 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (NIV)

This will be accomplished by:

1. Training Christians to minister freedom to those in captivity.
   
2. Imparting spiritual giftings and anointings.
   
3. Conducting training events in Hesperia and around the world
   
4. Pouring our lives into adults & youth who will carry on the ministry of spiritual healing.

Implications of this Vision Statement

1. The ministry center in Hesperia will be used primarily as a training location.
   
2. As persons come for ministry, our goal will be not only to see them set free, but also to empower them and train them to be part of our prayer team so that they can develop their spiritual gifts. Since the priority will be to utilize the facilities the Lord has given us in Hesperia.

Intern Testimonies

"God used my internship at Aslan's Place to increase my awareness of the spiritual realm for the purpose of setting people free from bondage. I was eager and open for all that God had for me. He (Jesus) met right where I was and quickly taught me powerful lessons in healing prayer and discernment. The teaching was actually more caught than taught as we ministered in practical ways and in specific direction from the Holy Spirit. There were many gifted people around, so it was easy for me to grow in discernment and the prophetic as we ministered God's love.

I have brought back a new perspective of the spiritual realm and tools to defeat the enemy more strategically and effectively. "The 5 weeks that I spent ministering with Paul and Donna were invaluable. I truly believe that I have grown spiritually and have become more mature in my faith as a result of training with them.
